Trees for air quality and farm business

Farmers Weekly Tent

The workshop will look at how tree shelter belts or small woodlands on farm can mitigate ammonia emissions from agriculture, the wider benefits for air quality, farm business, biodiversity, and carbon capture and support available. Findings from the Ammonia Reduction from Trees (ART) project will be presented including field research on poultry and dairy farms and farmer surveys. David Brass, from the Lakes Free Range Eggs company will share his experiences of planting woodland ranges for hens.
