Agricultural support is shifting away from direct payments to a public money for public goods approach with the environment on par with food production. There is a growing interest in the value of integrating trees into the farmed landscape and the farming system. Agroforestry has the potential to improve soil health and biodiversity, and sequester carbon, while maintaining profitable food production and achieving resilience through diverse income streams. Could trees and sheep be a solution?
