Improving Crop and Soil Health with Trees

7th September

15:00

Farmers Weekly Tent

What if we could reduce our dependence on inputs such as fertiliser and pesticides by utilising trees and their products, as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions? In this session you'll hear from Clo Ward, The Perennial Green Manures Project, about the potential of combining trees into the landscape as a nitrogen source, and Joey Hughes, Merched Y Berllan, who will share insights from their use of high-salicylic acid willow chippings for improving the yield and health of pear orchards.
